State Government – Government wide review of e-Directory Requirements

ICA was awarded a contract for a complete review of State & Territory Government Directory Service requirements as a basis for e-Government initiatives. The Government has a policy of outsourcing of key IT&T functions and has outsourced a whole of Government Messaging network based on Lotus Notes, Desktop applications based on Lotus Domino applications, Telecommunications services, and Desktop support.

They now require the whole Government Directory service as a key part of their eGovernment infrastructure to deliver single sign on, support billing, and a single authoritative source of commonly shared data on persons, buildings and contacts. We were engaged to undertake the consultancy activities around this delivery. This project will deliver Government White, Yellow, Blue and Green pages.

The project included the following activities:

  • Project planning
  • Directory Discovery (Business Requirements Analysis, Recommendations and Outline costs)
  • Top Level Design, Architecture, Topology, Schema Design and Namespace Design
  • Data Ownership Plan
  • Applications Integration Plan
  • Access Control Policy, Synchronisation plan and Directory Security
  • Market Product Scan
  • Writing Job Descriptions for the e-Directory service technical support staff
  • Drafting the Tender Document
  • Internet Commerce Australia – Corporate Profile – Identity & Access Management Consultancy.
